Relaxing & at Ease

The most common use for kratom is its sense of well-being. Whether you're using fast or slow strains, there will always be at least some of this effect. It actually can be fairly strong which creates a very positive mood and completely putting you at ease.

This can be a great way to unwind at the end of the day,  be used as an alternative to alcohol, or just to turn a bad day around. This positive/happy mood has helped people I know get through some rough patches in their life.  It can help (not cure) depression to get you back on your feet without relying on SSRIs or heavy medication.

Below I have listed the dosages, strain type and what you need to know to produce these desired effects.  If you don't currently know how to tell the difference between the types of kratom (fast, moderate, or slow) or are new to kratom in general, check out my Beginner's Guide to Kratom

Dosage

The more you take, the stronger this effect will be effect up until a point. After that, any extra grams will likely instead just cause drowsiness. I find it's best to take a medium to large size dose. This should last around 3 hours. There's also the option to take a gram every hour after to prolong the effects.

If you don't know how much a small or medium dose is, a small is usually 2-3 grams and a medium is around 4-5 grams.  The size of dose varies a lot though, since kratom sensitivity and tolerance is different with everyone. It's best to experiment at first with kratom to find the appropriate dose sizes.

Strain Type

Slower strains are the most relaxing, but moderate types still do a great job. If you're just wanting to chill out at the end of the day and watch some movies- go for the slower strains.  If you want this effect but still want to get something done (or for socializing), try the moderate types.

Notes

Kratom can make you feel really good, so it's easy to take it and waste your day away.  There are some popular kratom forums out there where guys just spend all day chatting and posting without getting much done.  It's just something to be aware of- I usually keep the relaxing/chill effects mainly for unwinding at the end of the day. Your choice though.
