There are certainly some men and women who like buzz cuts...
But exactly how common is it?
If most people don't find it attractive, would it still be worth it?
We asked nearly 400 men and women:
Overall, most women do find buzz cuts attractive.
Not surprising, a small percentage said they only find it attractive on other women.
40% said they don't like it at all.
That's quite large.
I think it's fair to say it depends on the person. The shape of your head and ethnicity play important roles in whether you can "pull it off."
Also, it may be your best (or only) option if you're a man whose hairline is receding.
Still, if you are trying to improve your appearance, you may want to choose a style that isn't disliked by 40% of women.
Responses for men are largely aligned with women. Most guys do believe it looks good to have a shaved head.
Still, a similar 41.75% don't think it does.
Of course, that doesn't mean they think it looks bad.
Someone good-looking before they shave their head will still be so after.
It's just that some don't deem it as an attractive hairstyle.
Here are the answers in the table below:
Yes (%) | No (%) | |
---|---|---|
Men | 53.61% | 46.39% |
Women | 15.54% | 84.46% |
Most men would consider getting a buzz cut.
The ease of just being able to shave your head is appealing.
It saves a lot of time and money when you can just run a razor or trimmer over your head every few weeks.
So, it's not exactly surprising for something that practical.
It's also not surprising that a whopping 84.46% of women wouldn't consider getting one.
That's a rather unique style and even more difficult to pull off.
