Back then, many notable musicians helped push this trend forward. Some examples include rappers like Tupac or boybands like NSYNC or Backstreet Boys.
So, we ran a poll for what women think of them today.
In addition, for those who had a preference, we also asked if girls only liked studs or hoops.

Over 70% of women like earrings on men, with studs being preferable.
While a sizable number still said no, comparing this to how often you see men wear them is a bit surprising.
The average age of women responding was 24 years old.
It's logical to assume this fashion trend aligns more with the younger crowd, mainly Gen Z.
